Roman "Dino" Esparza, Partner
Dino was raised in Brownsville, Cameron
County, Texas. He graduated from the
University of Texas at Austin with a B.A.
in Business Management in December
1992 and graduated from Baylor
University School of Law in November 1995. He
became licensed to practice in Texas in May, 1996 and is
also licensed to practice in the Southern District of Texas.
After graduating from law school, Dino secured a federal
clerkship with United States District Judge Filemon B. Vela
in the Brownsville Division of the Southern District of Texas
beginning September 1, 1996 through September 1, 1998.
Dino practices in the defense areas of personal injury,
private passenger & commercial auto, products liability,
construction defects, employment litigation, premises
liability, civil rights, and governmental entity/municipality
In addition to his practice, Dino was a member of the
Cameron County Young Lawyers’ Association from 1999 to
2004 and served as its President from 1999 - 2000. He was
also a Director for the Cameron County Bar Association
from 1999 to 2001. Dino served as a Director for the Texas
Young Lawyer’s Association (TYLA) from 2000 to 2002 and
was involved with several TYLA subcommittees. With
regard to his civic involvement, Dino was a member of the
Cameron County Parks Advisory Board, and a
commissioner on the City of Brownsville’s Planning and
Zoning Commission. Dino is a former member of the
Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation for the
City of Brownsville which enhances the development of
quality of life projects within the community and a former
Trustee of the Texas Southmost College Board of Trustees.
Dino is married and has two children ages 11 and 8.
Eduardo G “Eddie” Garza, Partner
Eddie was born in Brownsville, Texas in
1971. He graduated with honors from
the University of Texas at Brownsville
with a B.A. in Political Science in 1993.
Eddie was the first graduate of this
University to be accepted into the University of
Texas School of Law at Austin where he obtained his J.D. in
1996. He is a former member of the Phi Alpha Delta law
fraternity and is a Life Member of the National Registry of
Who’s Who published in the 2001 Edition. Eddie was also
selected as a Texas Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers
Magazine, 2009 and 2010 editions. He was admitted to the
State Bar of Texas in November, 1996. He is licensed to
practice in all state courts in the State of Texas, federal
court in the Southern District of Texas, and in the United
States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Eddie has
been a member of the Cameron County and Hidalgo County
Bar Associations as well as a past member of the Board of
Directors for the Cameron County Young Lawyer’s
Association. Eddie has served as a member of the
Community Advisory Committee on the University of Texas
System and Texas Southmost College Educational
Partnership Agreement and is fluent in Spanish. He
practices in the litigation areas of private passenger and
commercial auto, insurance law, consumer law, personal
injury, products liability, employment, premises liability,
construction defect/mold, civil rights, governmental entity
defense, municipal entity litigation, and public official
litigation. In his spare time, Eddie golfs, fishes, hunts, plays
tennis, teaches, and sponsors a Middle School Youth Group
and Choir at St. Luke Catholic Church in Brownsville. He
is married and has two children ages 12 and 9.
